The Colorado Coalition for Girls is committed to creating, strengthening
and expanding opportunities for all girls in Colorado.
Every girl has the opportunity to reach her full potential.
- Girls having equitable access to a full range of life opportunities
and the right to choose them.
- Addressing the root causes and encouraging systemic change to establish
equity for girls.
- Girls having a voice in policies and laws which affect them.
- Girls having access to spiritual, physical, emotional and sexual health specific to their needs; which includes but is not limited to comprehensive, medically accurate, age appropriate sexuality education consisting of all aspects of family planning possibilities including but not limited to the positive outcomes of contraception use.
- Coalitions playing a lead role in accomplishing goals that an individual
agency cannot do alone.

1. Advocate for all girls through statewide, systemic policy change

1. Increase public awareness of gender specific issues in the JJ system
2. Create positive change in how the Juvenile Justice System recognizes and responds to girls
