The Coalition’s membership is free and is made up of two kinds
of members.
- “In the Loop”
members are added to our email list and mailing list and are keep up
to speed on events and information produced by the Coalition.
- “Active Committee”
members are strategic parts of one of workgroups acting on the goals of the
coalition in the areas of advocacy, programs, research, and public awareness.
These members meet regularly to achieve goals and objectives of the strategic plan.
There is synergy in numbers: several entities joining together will build
a stronger voice for all girls in Colorado through advocacy efforts. A
whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
Increased public awareness of girls’ issues leads to more public
awareness of what you do, what you are passionate about, and how you can
be supported! Public awareness drives the opportunity for resources and
is a catalyst for social change. Be the change you wish to see!
Our girls are worth it: advocacy will help to increase resources for
the services provided for girls, opportunities for their growth and success,
equality for their futures and may enhance the services received by our
daughters, nieces, granddaughters and goddaughters.
Role models are out there for all girls, and they need to bee seen!:
Girls are looking for role models to empower and support then, when they
are not sure where to look, here we are!
Where is the research? Efforts will help to increase and attract research
specifically on girls’ issues, how these issues are different from
those of boys and co-ed groups of youth, and what to do about them.
